Being yourself is not an imperative. It consists of no agenda, no scheme, no intention, no purpose, no judgement, no labels. It is a natural state of being. You don’t be yourself out of need, nor of want; you are yourself because you simply are. You don’t think about being yourself. You don’t plan on being yourself. You don’t intend on being yourself. You are the truth that requires no proof, no confirmation, no validation. You simply, just, are.
So stop trying to be yourself. Let yourself be yourself. Let go of your fears, your desires, your insecurities, your envy. Let go of everything you hold dear. Let go of your identity, those ideas about yourself, those rules for being who you are.
Just let yourself be.
